Research activities:
CAMP is an interdisciplinary workgroup at the VUB with members from pure mathematics, engineering, physics and medicine, focusing on research in applied and computational mathematics. Some research topics include: inverse problems and regularization (e.g. in medical imaging and seismic tomography), scalable image coding, error correcting codes connected to incidence geometries, ...

Positions available:
If you would like to join our research group with:
a Marie Curie European Reintegration Grant (ERG),
a Marie Curie International Reintegration Grant (IRG),
an Intra-European Fellowships for Career Development (IEF),
an International Incoming Fellowships (IIF),
or through any other type of grant, please contact the member of CAMP with whom you would like to work. Tell him/her about your research plans and see if you can find a common ground (you would probably need to write your own research proposal).

Citizens of the European Union (or Iceland, Norway and Liechtenstein), at most 31 years old, can also apply for a FWO PhD scholarship (FWO website (in Dutch)). Please contact a member of CAMP who can act as PhD supervisor and who could help you with the application. The FWO deadline is February 1, 2011 for scholarships starting October 1, 2011 (you can apply while in your final master year). This FWO PhD fellowship lasts 4 years.
The FWO also has grants for postdocs (both visiting (several months) and resident (3 years)).
